Engineers of Tomorrow Security Installation Competition 2021

The UK Skills Competition for Young Security and Fire Engineers and Apprentices

The highly respected Engineers of Tomorrow competition is designed to recognise and showcase the next generation of security and fire systems installers from across the UK. The competition helps to raise the profile of engineering apprenticeships and the opportunity they represent within the sector.

Taking place at IFSEC International and FIREX International, winners of regional heats compete in a live installation challenge at the show. 2019’s competition saw over 100 entrants take part, a number only set to increase as the competition continues to grow.

Dates to keep in mind for 2021 are currently as follows:

Regional heats take place between February and April 2021, where apprentices will take part in a live installation challenge. The top 24 apprentices will then proceed to the semi-final at IFSEC International 2021, taking place on 12-14 July at ExCeL London. With visitors from diversified sectors, IFSEC International is where the security and fire safety industries meet. The winners of the security and fire competitions will be announced at the Security and Fire Excellence Awards, taking place on 23 November 2021.

NEW FOR 2021: The 8 top security apprentices will proceed to the final at WorldSkills UK LIVE, taking place at Birmingham NEC. Attracting over 70,000 visitors, WorldSkills UK is the UK's largest skills, apprenticeships and careers event. Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be presented to the top 3 and they will receive a cash prize at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards.
